How a Semi-Automatic Shrink Wrapping Machine Works
Let’s understand the process using an example. To wrap 12 one-liter water bottles:
Place the bottles on the web sealer.
Press ‘START’.
Automatic air cylinders move the bottles under the machine.
The machine wraps the film around three sides automatically, then seals the fourth side using another cylinder.
The wrapped bottles now have tight packaging with two open sides visible.
Next, when you load another set of 12 bottles and press ‘START’, the first packet moves via the conveyor into the shrink tunnel, where heat seals the film. The same process works for products like soft drinks, phenyl bottles, oil bottles, and batteries.
Machine Components
The semi-automatic shrink wrappers consists of:
Web Sealer – wraps and seals the film.
Shrink Tunnel – heat shrinks the film around the product.
When both work together, the system is called a semi-automatic shrink wrappers, Group Packing Machine, or Bundling Machine.
